Many riders strive to advance their skills, but BMX is challenging. Last week, someone asked me in a comment on one of my YouTube videos, “Do you have any recommendations to be better BMX bikes?” So, after giving it some thought for a few days, I came to the conclusion that stretching, making goals, and traveling might all help you become a better rider.
If you make a deliberate effort to improve these three areas, your riding will significantly improve. Your eyes will be opened to a wide variety of new styles, tricks will be simpler, and injuries won’t happen as frequently. Don’t you think that sounds nice?
Stretching
Professional BMX bikes stretch their muscles out before each race. Your muscles will adore you if you give them the care and attention they require. How stretching affects your riding is something you might be curious about. The truth is that 90% of the advantages of stretching can directly affect your capacity to avoid injury and your performance riding a bike.
I’ve only recently started stretching; it wasn’t until my first year at Woodward. Before getting on the bike, we developed the practice of waking up our muscles. My crashes no longer resulted in injuries that would change the course of the game, and I started to realize that tricks extended better. Everyone should stretch, in my opinion.
Set objectives
Having goals is essential for improving at anything. Consider yourself traveling to a new city to check out the skatepark. The phones are all dead, and you don’t have a map. Maybe you can make it there. Yet, will it be simple? Riding without a purpose or a clear plan is similar to traveling aimlessly. Maybe you’ll make it to your destination. Simply put, it won’t be simple or enjoyable.
I often repeat this, but I once created a word document with three sections. I would be guided by this paper and be able to advance it. You may copy me if you want.
A Nice Tune
Tricks that appear amateurish go under the “fine-tune” section. Although I can land them, they are really messy. Before the session, I would choose these tricks and practice them 5–10 times.
Say I have the option to decline, but they are unclicked and basic. I’ll do 10 turndowns at various locations in the skatepark when I go to the skatepark with the intention of improving that extension.
Dreams come true in this area. Choose three to five tricks that you hope to pull off. After that, put in the necessary time and effort. You are reminding yourself of your goals by including them on the list.
Keep in mind that mastering new skills requires a lot of time and work.

Keep in mind that mastering new skills requires a lot of time and work. I tried whips for approximately two years straight before I finally succeeded. But consider what would have happened if I had given up after a short period of time. The greatest method to keep moving forward is to be conscious of what you desire.
Cardio
The cardio is awful. Only a select few of us in my P.E. class in high school were able to run a whole mile without stopping. However, I always believed that being able to do this would benefit me on the bike (I attended a nerdy school). And, indeed, it did. especially if winning riding competitions is your objective. Cardio is really significant.
I urge you to take a chance. Take your phone and head to the park. Then, slide in, start the timer for 45 seconds, and continue riding and attempting stunts until it expires. Congrats! You recently completed your first contest run. Are you worn out?
The moral of the story is that maintaining good physical health is essential if you ever hope to compete in a competitive competition. At the park, I timed my runs and worked hard to push myself. Sometimes, a 1:30 run is substituted for a 45. So it became a little competition that I was in the running for before I left every day. (Even though I rode by myself)
Final result
If properly completed, this little document will provide you with useful advice that will help you become a better BMX bike. An excellent method to improve as a rider is by setting goals for what you want to improve on and then holding yourself accountable. assuming you remove nothing else
